Seriously, this guy's 960 grid system idea paved the way for a lot of improvement in web design. In fact, it is the basic concept from which bootstrap originated. Bootstrap is the most widely used system that makes browsers resize appropriately across different screen sizes, making mobile viewing possible. So the next time you're surfing the net on your phone, thank this guy.
